Problem - solving;
- Problem-solving is one of the more sophisticated type of learning as a Computer presents fairly complex problems which let the students to lead to high order thinking skills such as logic, reasoning, pattern recognition and strategies.Problem-solving is associated with cognitivist learning theory since students are explicitly taught specific cognitive strategies.
These types of problems cannot be just solve easily or by memorizing it but needs high thinking power and as a result the problem-solving program will shift the students knowledge from simple to complex/ high degree level as they will be interacting with the software of problem solving.
problem solving software is for teaching problem solving strategies and it is similar to the simulation programs that attempts to model real-life situation.
NOTE : Since Problem- solving software is design for the student's high-order thinking skills, a Teacher need to plan carefully when and how to most effectively use this type of software.
Tshering, your writing on problem solving is relevant and up to the level of the students. Can you add some example of problem solving so that it gives clear outline of the lesson know how you can integrate in the class. And add some points on multimedia encyclopaedias and electronic books too.

ReplyDeleteProblem Solving, It is is kind of software which help students to learn/solve a complicated problems.
Multimedia(full text, images, animation, audio and videos) is a software in which we can store vast information and even search information for learning.
Electronic books information for reading, but is supplemented with (Sound, spoken voice, picture and animation). Electronic books is used as a tutor to learn.
And i think it would have been batter if you had explain how those strategies could be integrated with the lesson in the classroom.And you have posted your post in different pages, so i think it will confuse the reader so it would be better if you could use the same page. Over all, it was a perfect work..enjoy and have fun..
